Atty. Duran has a wide range of experience in the field of corporate, taxation, investment consulting, and immigration practice, having been engaged therein for more than thirty-four (34) years. He was a former Tax Principal of one of the country’s leading accounting firms and had worked with the New York City office of a leading international accounting firm training in international taxation and international tax structuring. He has also previously participated as private sector representative in the drafting of tax and investment-related measures and has acted as consultant/advisor to the Subic Bay Freeport Chamber of Commerce (SBFCC) and the Clark Industry Locators Association (CILA) in addressing various legal and tax issues affecting said chambers. He was the President of the Tax Management Assistance of the Philippines (TMAP)in 2020.

He obtained his Bachelor of Arts Degree, major in Economics from the Ateneo de Manila University with honors. He also received his law degree from the Ateneo de Manila Law School Bachelor of Laws, graduating among the top 20 in his class. He is also a graduate of the Strategic Business Economics Program (SBEP) of the University of Asia & the Pacific (UA&P), having completed the course in 2005. He was admitted to the bar in 1990.
